Privacy Policy

YesOrNo respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information across YesOrNo and its tools (yesorno.nz and subdomains such as solar.yesorno.nz, car.yesorno.nz and will.yesorno.nz), in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand).

The Service has no accounts and no backend database. The information you enter into a tool — and any comparisons or drafts you save — is stored only in your own web browser (in local storage) on your device. It is not sent to us, and we cannot see it.

Because your data never leaves your browser, it persists between visits on that browser until you clear it. On a shared or public device, clear your browser data (or use the tool’s reset/erase controls) when you are finished.

We may collect limited, aggregated and anonymous analytics about how the Service is used (for example, which tools are opened) to help us improve it. This does not identify you and is not linked to the inputs you enter.

If you email us, we receive the contact details and content of your message so we can respond.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not require you to create an account. We do not use advertising cookies or build profiles about you.

The Service uses only the storage strictly necessary to make the tools work in your browser (such as local storage for your inputs and your light/dark theme choice). It does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

The Service is hosted on infrastructure operated by our providers (for example, our hosting and analytics providers). Any anonymous analytics data is handled by those providers on our behalf and they are bound to protect it.

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may request access to, or correction of, any personal information we actually hold about you (such as an email you sent us). Because tool inputs live only in your browser, you control that data directly — clear it any time from your device. Contact hello@yesorno.nz for any privacy request.

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last revised.
